Special Speedball Day — November 12th

As many of you may have noticed, it’s been some time since the Compass was open for walk-on speedball. While we don’t yet have plans to regularly reopen that field, we will be holding a special one-day event next weekend for anyone who wants to come out and play speedball. If you’ve been waiting for a chance to get back out on the speedball field, November 12th is your chance! Since this is also a Read more…

Schedule Update: We will be closed on November 26th for Thanksgiving weekend

Hello everyone, we have a quick update to our schedule for the end of the year. We had a Ministry Day scheduled for November 26th, but we have removed that date from our schedule so that everyone can enjoy their Thanksgiving weekend off. We are considering rescheduling that Ministry Day for a different weekend, but have not made a decision just yet. We will post an update if we reschedule.

An Update on Our Closure — We’ll Be Back!

Last month we announced that due to a lack of manpower, we would be closing down Compass Paintball after our August 13th Ministry Day. Today, we are pleased to announce a change in this situation — this close will only be temporary, and in a few months we will re-open for business! Dan Melling, one of our longtime referees who many of you have met, has agreed to take over the Compass and run our Read more…

An Important Message from Compass Paintball

The Bible tells us in Ecclesiastes 3 that “there is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under the heavens.” Solomon, the writer of this book, goes on to list over a dozen examples: “a time to be born and a time to die, a time to plant and a time to uproot,” and so on. The verses demonstrate a cycle of building up and breaking down. Beginnings and endings. Soon, Compass Read more…

Groupon deal ending July 23rd

We’ve had a tremendous response to our Groupon deal in recent months, and we couldn’t be happier with how that promotion has gone. It helped bring out a large number of players who might have otherwise never considered coming to a church and allowed us to present them with our faith and the Gospel. However, we want to make everyone aware that this promotion is coming to an end soon. If you want to get Read more…

Summer schedule update: new hours of operation

As we usually do when this time of year rolls around, the Compass will be transitioning to our summer schedule soon. This change will reduce the number of hours that we’re open on Ministry Days to avoid the potentially dangerous summer heat. Starting on June 25th, we will change our hours of operation, with our new opening time at 8 AM and our new closing time at 1 PM. Our June 11th Ministry Day will still Read more…

Important changes regarding private parties

Hello everyone, Due to a record-low number of volunteers available to help staff the Compass, we have made a difficult decision regarding our private party offering. Effective today, we will no longer be able to book private parties on our off-weeks (non-Ministry Days). All parties will need to be booked on a Ministry Day in order to ensure that we are able to fully staff and run the events. Because of this, we will unfortunately Read more…

SplatMaster tournament canceled

While we have seen some great interest in our recently-announced SplatMaster tournament and have had several registrations, we have unfortunately been able to get the needed number of players involved to hold the tournament. Regrettably, we must announce that the tournament has been canceled as a result. Please keep an eye on this blog for announcements about our future events, and don’t forget to come play on our Ministry Day next Saturday!

SplatMaster tournament rescheduled

We have an important announcement regarding our upcoming SplatMaster tournament. Originally this event was planned for April 2nd, but in order to give more time for additional players to sign up, we have decided to push the date back to May 21st. We have already seen some interest in this event and we hope that by extending the schedule by a few extra weeks we can get even more players involved. The information in the original Read more…
