Compass Paintball

We’ve had a tremendous response to our Groupon deal in recent months, and we couldn’t be happier with how that promotion has gone. It helped bring out a large number of players who might have otherwise never considered coming to a church and allowed us to present them with our faith and the Gospel.

However, we want to make everyone aware that this promotion is coming to an end soon.

If you want to get in on the fun with this deal, you’ll need to redeem and use your Groupon on or before our July 23rd Ministry Day. After that date we’ll no longer be able to accept the coupons.

Be sure to take advantage of this great offer before it’s too late!

As we usually do when this time of year rolls around, the Compass will be transitioning to our summer schedule soon. This change will reduce the number of hours that we’re open on Ministry Days to avoid the potentially dangerous summer heat.

Starting on June 25th, we will change our hours of operation, with our new opening time at 8 AM and our new closing time at 1 PM. Our June 11th Ministry Day will still run at our current hours of 9 AM to 4 PM.

The dates for Ministry Days will not change. You can find the current schedule (including the second half of this year) in the sidebar on the right side of our website.

Hello everyone,

Due to a record-low number of volunteers available to help staff the Compass, we have made a difficult decision regarding our private party offering. Effective today, we will no longer be able to book private parties on our off-weeks (non-Ministry Days). All parties will need to be booked on a Ministry Day in order to ensure that we are able to fully staff and run the events.

Because of this, we will unfortunately not be able to offer JT SplatMaster parties at this time, since the SplatMaster gameplay and equipment is not compatible with the regular paintball that will be played on Ministry Days.

Please note that this change only applies to new bookings. Existing parties should remain unaffected. In the unlikely event that there is a need to make a change to your party, we will reach out to you this week.

We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause, and thank you for understanding.

While we have seen some great interest in our recently-announced SplatMaster tournament and have had several registration, we have unfortunately been able to get the needed number of players involved to hold the tournament. Regrettably, we must announce that the tournament has been canceled as a result.

Please keep an eye on this blog for announcements about our future events, and don’t forget to come play on our Ministry Day next Saturday!

We have an important announcement regarding our upcoming SplatMaster tournament. Originally this event was planned f0r April 2nd, but in order to give more time for additional players to sign up, we have decided to push the date back to May 21st.

We have already seen some interest in this event and we hope that by extending the schedule by a few extra weeks we can get even more players involved.

The information in the original post has been updated to reflect these new details. Dates for the SplatMaster practice tournaments will be announced soon.

While the SplatMaster tournament we announced earlier this year is still on the schedule for April 2nd, we have decided to forego this weekend’s practice day due to the number of sign ups we have received so far.

We are still looking for more players (ages 7-12) to sign up for this event to ensure that we have enough teams to run the tournament. Unlike previous tournaments, we are accepting individual registrations instead of teams, which we hope will make it easier for players to sign up even if they don’t know others that are interested in taking part.

You find find more information on our previous blog post. If you have any questions, don’t hesitate to call us at (843) 735-9466.

Note: this post has been updated to reflect a new event schedule.

Since 2013, Compass Paintball has offered customers booking private parties the option of playing SplatMaster, a paintball variant designed for kids 8 and up. This has been an extremely popular game, and today we’re proud to announce that in April we will be hosting our first 3-man SplatMaster tournament.

On May 21st, players ages 7-12 will be able to take part in this special event, which will be played on our speedball field, complete with inflatable bunkers. You can see some photos of a similar event from 2013 above.

Tournament entry is only $20 each, and players do not need to bring anything. All equipment and paint will be supplied by the Compass and are included in the cost. Check-in will start at 8:00 AM, with the team captains meeting at 8:45 before the start of the first game at 9:00.

Sign-ups for this event are now open for individual players. We will not be allowing full 3-man teams to register for this event. Instead, teams will be selected by Compass staff on the day of the event to keep things fair. There will be three age divisions in this tournament: 7-8 years old, 9-10 years old, and 11-12 years old. Teams will be made up of a mix of ages, but players of all ages will be as evenly distributed as possible.

The 1st-, 2nd-, and 3rd-place teams will win medallions. The 1st and 2nd place teams will also get free and half-off entry to the next SplatMaster tournament, respectively. A sportsmanship prize will also be awarded.

You can download the full rules for this event by clicking here (PDF file).

To help everyone get ready for the tournament, we will be holding special practice days on dates to be announced soon. Any players registered for the tournament will be welcome to come and play on these practice days. Practice days will cost $10 each per player and include all gear (marker and mask) plus 250 paintballs.

In order to hold this event, we’ll need a minimum of 30 players registered so we can create 10 teams. Players who want to register can pay the entry fee by visiting us any day we’re open or calling us at 843-735-9466.

We have updated the calendar here on our website to include our Ministry Days for the first half of 2016. We will post a schedule for the second half of the year at a later date. Please note that we aren’t sticking strictly to our previous every-other-week schedule in some cases, so make sure you refer to the calendar when planning your paintball weekends.

We hope you all enjoy your upcoming holidays, and we’ll see you again next year!

On Saturday, November 14th, Faith Assembly will be bringing players from all of its campuses to participate in an event here at Compass Paintball. As a result, we will not be able to run our usual Ministry Day that weekend and will be closed to the public.

We will return to our regular Ministry Day schedule on November 28th. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and hope to you see again on the 28th!
