Compass Paintball is always looking for new volunteers to help us keep the field running. Below are a few of the positions where we could use your help. You don’t need any experience with paintball to volunteer at the Compass—just a desire to help our ministry grow.
If you’d like to get involved in one or more of the following roles, please give us a call at 843-735-9466 and let us know!
Referees
Referees are responsible for keeping games running fairly and smoothly, and ensuring that there are no safety issues on the field during play. It’s the most physically active role at the Compass, and usually involves taking a few (unintentional) hits over the course of a day. Refs also setup and breakdown the field, nets, and air fill station. If you love the outdoors and want to help keep our visitors safe and happy, this is the position for you!
Shop Help
Our Pro Shop is the first place our visitors go when they come to the Compass. This is where check-ins, equipment rentals, paint purchases, and more take place. Shop helpers also assist in maintaining the markers and other gear, and cleaning up at the end of the day. If you’d prefer to out of the cold (or heat, in the summer), this may be the perfect spot for you.
Mentors and Devotional Leaders
Compass Paintball needs strong Christian leaders who are willing to help mentor our younger volunteers. These individuals also create and lead short midday devotional lessons for the players and staff. These lessons are typically based on a key verse that serves as the memory verse for that Ministry Day, and is worked into our Resurrection game. Those interested in becoming mentors and devotional leaders will need to attend church regularly and provide their personal testimony.
